Proper pH balance is essential for spa and hot tub maintenance, with the recommended range being 7.2–7.6. If pH rises above 7.6, the water becomes alkaline, reducing chlorine’s effectiveness. Often, this is noticed by a strong chlorine odour that isn’t present when pH is balanced. High pH can also cause the water to appear cloudy, lead to eye irritation, and promote scale build-up.
Directions:
- One capful of pH Reducer is approximately 30 g.
- Test water frequently for pH and bromine/chlorine levels.
- Broadcast pH Reducer over the water according to the usage table below.
- Let the water circulate for 1 hour before entering your hot tub.
